general manager (omnibus company) ; omnibus manager
is responsible to directors for administrative control of an omnibus company's working.
general manager (tramways) ; tramway manager
is in general control of whole staff of a tramway system, and is responsible to directors or to local authority for efficiency of service.

superintendent (omnibus)
see traffic manager.
traffic manager, traffic superintendent (tramways or omnibus) ; superintendent (omnibus)
is responsible to general manager q.v. for organisation of traffic side of undertaking; controls operating staff, determines and approves time tables, routes, etc., recruits omnibus drivers (720), tramcar drivers (722), conductors (724), ticket inspectors (714) q.v., and supervises and advises upon establishment of depots to house vehicles; recommends to general manager purchase of new cars in accordance with traffic requirements.
