rag-house overlooker, rag-house overseer
supervises work of rag-cutters (519), rag dusters (519), rag sorters (964), and labourers employed in or about rag-house; is responsible for various qualities and quantities of rags used; assigns duties to workers under him and checks their time; engages and discharges rag-house workers; sometimes also, where rag-boiling is done in conjunction with cutting, sorting and dusting, supervises rag-boiling workers.
