- foreman (rag sorting)
- receives bales of rags; gives out work to rag sorters (964) q.v. and supervises their work; keeps record of work done; sometimes does work of rag passer q.v.
- rag passer
- a foreman q.v. who examines sorted rags and passes them if they are up to standard.
- superintendent of bill distributors
- has charge of gang of bill distributors (970) q.v. and is responsible for the proper distribution of bills, etc., and the complete circularisation of districts or areas as instructed by advertising agent; renders report on areas covered, men engaged, wages paid, etc.
