- agent, band agent, concert agent, lecture agent, theatrical agent, variety agent
- conducts an agency by which bands, lecturers, concert, theatrical or variety artistes respectively are put in touch with organisers of public performances, theatrical managers, etc.; keeps a register; arranges terms of contract, i.e., salary, dates, duration; often arranges bookings, itinerary, and. superintends advertising arrangements of performances.
- agent's manager
- in general control of an agency, not being himself proprietor; duties as for agent; sometimes specifically designated, e.g. band, concert, film hiring, theatrical or variety agent's manager.
- film hiring agent
; film renter
- acquires, by purchase or arrangement, right to hire a cinematograph proprietor's film; arranges trade shows of new films (sometimes done by producer (880) (q.v.)); lets films on hire; agrees terms, conditions and itinerary.
