- colliery corve mender or repairer, colliery tram mender or repairer, colliery tub mender or repairer, corver, corve repairer, hutch mender, hutch repairer, pit box mender, pit box repairer, tub mender, tub repairer
- keeps hutches, trams, tubs or corves, used for moving coal at colliery, in repair; cuts bolts and rivets, with chisel or oxy-acetylene flame, and removes broken or bent wood and iron parts; makes, adapts and refits new parts, bolting and riveting as required, using hand tools.
- wagon repairer, railway wagon repairer
- (i) keeps railway wagons in repair by replacing broken parts of woodwork and bolting in new wood;
- (ii) refits bent or broken steel or iron parts; cf. fitter (210), joiner (474).
