- danter (slang)
- a woman overlooker q.v. in silk throwing department.
- doubler overlooker (silk)
- is in charge of silk doubling department; directs and controls silk doublers (371) q.v. and other operatives in that department.
- reelers' overlooker, reeling overlooker
- is in charge of department where yam is reeled into skeins; directs and controls operatives; repairs and adjusts reeling frames, and regulates speed of rollers.
- warping overlooker
- is in charge of warping room, including beam, mill and section warping; is responsible for condition and running of machinery, and for despatch of yarn after warping.
- winders' overlooker, winding overlooker
- an overlooker in charge of winding department, or of a section thereof; supervises winders (367), running of winding machines and weighing of full bobbins, cops, etc.; sometimes specifically designated, e.g., bobbin winders' overlooker, bottle winders' overlooker, cop winders' overlooker.
- winding master
- a winding overlooker q.v. in charge of entire winding department.
