agent, assurance, insurance ; ; insurance canvasser, insurance collector
canvasses for new life and health insurance policies; collects premiums weekly or monthly on policies already held, in assigned district; works under district superintendent (793) (q.v.) and is paid by commission.

collector, insurance
(i) visits members of sick club or insurance society at their homes to collect weekly or monthly premiums;
(ii) see agent, assurance.
traveller, insurance
travels from place to place in a specified area in search of new policy holders for an insurance company (not usually life insurance), working on salary and commission basis or purely on commission.
