; insurance canvasser, insurance collector
- canvasses for new life and health insurance policies; collects premiums weekly or monthly on policies already held, in assigned district; works under district superintendent (793) (q.v.) and is paid by commission.

- collector, insurance
- (i) visits members of sick club or insurance society at their homes to collect weekly or monthly premiums;
- (ii) see agent, assurance.
- traveller, insurance
- travels from place to place in a specified area in search of new policy holders for an insurance company (not usually life insurance), working on salary and commission basis or purely on commission.
