325.—Watch Case Makers

case joint finisher ; case solderer and jointer
finishes and adjusts joints or hinges and snaps of watch cases, with small files and fine tools; solders on rims and joints of watch and clock cases.
case maker, chronometer case maker, watch case maker
makes cases of metal for watches or for clocks; for the former, by stamping or pressing from sheet metal in hand or power press; for the latter, by cutting and brazing together parts and ornaments to form clock cases or "carcases"; often further designated according to metal used, or to type of case made, e.g., silver case maker, gold case maker, filled gold case maker, pocket chronometer case maker.
case pendant and bow maker
forms, from wire, with a special tool, rings of silver and other metal used for attaching watches or clocks to chains.
case pinner
cuts pins from wire, and inserts into ease joints; plugs end of joints with silver, gold, etc., and trims off end.
case solderer and jointer

case springer, case secret springer ; secret springer, secret spring maker
fits and pins or screws into position, in band of watch case, two springs, one under plunger and other connected with hinge, which enable face or back of watch to be closed, or, on pressure, to spring open.
