adding machine inspector: examines adding machines, and teste for accuracy; carries out adjustments and repairs.
adding machine mechanic: as for typewriter mechanic.
aligner (typewriters): a typewriter mechanic q.v. who specialises in adjusting the type bars so as to obtain correct alignment in typewriting.
typewriter mechanic, typewriter maker, typewriter repairer: assembles and fits together parts of typewriters; repairs typewriters by renewal of parts; uses lathe and various hand tools and vice at a bench.
