bevels edge of mirror or plate glass by applying it to horizontally rotating iron wheel, which is kept supplied with sand and water; sets wheel to correct angle against gauge; switches-on power drive and holds glass against wheel until desired bevel obtained; smooths bevel on watered stone wheel; polishes it with powdered pumice on a wooden wheel; finishes it with rouge on a second wooden wheel.
