a buyer (q.v.) acting on behalf of a number of firms.
buyer
selects and purchases goods for retail sale on behalf of his/her firm; interviews travelling representatives of manufacturers or wholesale merchants; visits market centres; in large departmental stores, buys for one department only, under supervision of head buyer.
