used in Dundee district (jute and linen trades) for heald knitter, machinist, maker, respectively, q.v.
dope (doup, dupe) knitter, machinist, maker
used in Glasgow district for heald knitter, machinist, maker, respectively, q.v.; usually applied to knitter, machinist, or maker of healds for chenille looms, or looms making gauze or leno.
gear knitter, machinist, maker
used in Yorkshire, and in carpet trade of Scotland, for heald knitter, machinist, maker, respectively, q.v.
havel knitter, machinist, maker
